I had the steak which was melt in mouth tender and succulent, perfectly cooked medium rare. Dad enjoyed the market fish, snapper. Good sized portions. Old school feel. Great hospitality from Jude and Troy.''

July 2025: Matt Walsh ''Welcoming pro shop.. Bar/restaurant very good.. Finishes with a par 3, great to watch whilst enjoying a drink/food... Excellent piece of land...half of the course routing is away from houses... Could have been a top class course had they done fescue turf, had wider fairways to increase the strategy and not sold so much real estate..but I guess it's the compromise made to fund courses.. nevetheless an enjoyable course, pretty vistas & pines, not a whole lot of width, not too long and has some interesting holes/greens... a good package if you're in the area... I'd play again..''

What Defines a Top Golf Course

When I think about what it means to be a top golf course there’s a magnitude of factors that go into it. Sure, you can look at the obvious things such as; location, course design, facilities and service, but to me, that only scratches the surface of what makes a course genuinely memorable. The dictionary describes ‘essence’ as; the intrinsic nature or indispensable quality of something, especially something abstract, which determines its character. That last word captures what springs to mind when I think about what it means for me to truly enjoy what a golf course has to offer, character.
